Our Core Ethics

Seasonality

Mother nature will decide what is available throughout the year and no one can confidently make promises on her behalf. With that in mind, we do all we can to work within the bounty of each season’s unique offerings to create beautiful, lush designs. Although our medium is a delicate one, from seed to vase, experience has shown us that when we use flowers that are in season and sourced as locally as possible they are the prettiest, longest lasting blooms.

Quality Control

We have a very high standard for what we are willing to let leave our studio. As self-proclaimed flower snobs we ensure the highest quality product for each of our clients. We work closely with farmers, always aware of what looks best each season, and grow whatever we can ourselves for that extra touch.  Our flowers are fresh, local whenever possible and handpicked by us with extra care.

Protecting your investment

We pride ourselves on going above and beyond to ensure your flowers look their best throughout the day. This means properly cleaning and hydrating each stem, storing them in our flower coolers, transporting them in our refrigerated truck, and monitoring weather conditions for the optimal time to set them in place on our big day. We take these extra steps and precautions on behalf of your investment as an integral part of our service.

Continuity of Design

Although flowers are our passion, a beautiful environment is what we strive to create. Our extensive rental inventory is curated to coordinate with a variety of design concepts and we work seamlessly with all vendors to ensure that our product enhances the overall look and feel of each event. It all comes together with our thoughtful flower selection and intentional design.

Professional Development

We are part of a very seasoned, world-wide community of flower and event people and we learn from each other constantly. This, in turn, enables us to provide our clients with a crew of experienced designers and production assistants that help make your day as smooth as possible.

Giving Back

We feel fortunate for our success and acknowledge those with less opportunity than us. Every year Scarlett & Grace donates to Stanford Youth Solutions, which is a Non-profit organization helping youth in need.

Erin Rochelle DeBorba

Owner, Floral Artisan, & Hopeless Romantic

Erin’s love affair with flowers began when she was 8 years old… cutting blossoms from her backyard to create arrangements to surprise her (sometimes) patient mother. She started officially working with petals and stems when she was 15 years old… and for the past 20+ years she and flowers have never spent a day apart. Needless to say, flowers are her first love…

Erin studied art and design, concentrating on painting and mixed media at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo while working at a local floral shop and spent some time traveling abroad before she returned home to focus on wedding and event décor… working and really blossoming (pun intended) as a floral designer.

Scarlett & Grace believes in learning and growing every step along the way of this flower journey. Erin takes workshops every chance she gets, from flower goddesses all over the world, Ariella Chezar, Sarah Ryhanen of Saipua, Holly Heider Chapple, Sarah Winward, Ariel Dearie, Robbie Honey, and Nancy Liu Chin to name a few. This keeps the inspiration flowing and allows little tips and tricks of the trade to be exchanged. We will never stop growing, learning, and sharing in the love of flowers!
